We are currently looking for an HSE Leader, to support our field service teams in Europe. Field Service teams are primarily deployed from our office in Hilden, Germany however we also have technical specialists operating from UK and Luxembourg offices. The ideal location for this candidate will be in the Dusseldorf area, however flexibility exists, for right the candidate, to be based from home in the Germany/Benelux region. The position does require the HSE leader to make frequent visits to client sites where our teams are operating. Occasional in-person meetings in Hilden will also be necessary to maintain good working relations with KES teams.
He/she will provide guidance and oversight of activities aimed at compliance with company requirements, site HSE requirements and agency requirements. The position will primarily support operations at our European offices and will report to Global Senior HSE Manager based in the US. Supporting the project team to challenge and select the best execution strategy.

What you will do:
- To ensure site teams have the necessary information and professional advice to enable them to deliver HSE compliance (local and KES) and appropriate mitigation and control strategies within their functional and geographic areas of accountability.
- Providing support to the Global Senior HSE Manager and leadership team to achieve the vision through management commitment and employee ownership and engagement.
- Participating in the development and implementation of risk assessment methods/systems for anticipating, identifying, and evaluating hazards.
- Participate and lead incident investigations, enhancing capability throughout the organization to conduct effective investigations that focus on learning, preventing reoccurrence and improving our capacity to fail safely (Human and Organizational Performance – HOP).
- Promote initiatives to improve HSE performance across the site.
- Be a visible presence and EHS resource in the field with operations.
- Heavy background in construction field services in the petrochemical industry.
- Internationally recognized qualification in HSE Management (BSC, NEBOSH or equivalent) or a Master in HSE and have a technical background.
- Significant years of experience of multi -site EH&S management.
- Fluency in written and oral English and German.
- Strong Communication, Interpersonal & Influencing Skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak French.
- Train the trainer certifications (rigging, confined space, fall protection etc.).
- Concern for standards and ability to defend a position in the event of challenge.
- Strong commitment to protecting and supporting people and the environment.
