What The Job Looks Like

Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Responsible to manage our state-of-the-art Liquid Handling Landscape and the incoming & outgoing research sample flow and inventory
  • Independently provide screening plates and solid compounds to our internal laboratories and external partners, including shipment preparation
  • Evaluate, program and establish new liquid handling methods to serve our Research Projects and Laboratories demands as its best – new layouts, dispensing schemes, optimize manual to automated dispensing processes
  • Ensure smooth running of our fully automated systems like robots, liquid handlers, automated tube & vial storages and auxiliary devices like de/cappers, barcode readers/labeler, hotels, integrated centrifuges and more
  • Strategically support technology expansion, evaluation & implementation of new equipment and design new automation processes & dataflow
  • Handle sample management, ordering and automated store software
  • Closely collaborate with adjacent areas like laboratories, logistics or procurement


What You'll Bring To The Table

To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or related disciplines, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience with liquid handling and lab automation
  • Fundamental knowledge in method programming for liquid handling systems and lab automation robots, ideally familiar with Beckman Coulter and Azenta/REMP equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in implementation of new technologies, equipment & processes
  • Basic knowledge in shipment and documentation of solid and liquid research samples
  • High level of self-motivation, customer-orientation and attention to detail with passion to support cross functional collaborations across diverse programs
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver on multiple priorities simultaneously
